When bars need to be spliced without thread machining, it is not always practical to prepare threaded ends on-site or rely on conventional lap splices. For such cases, the Cold Extrusion Sleeve provides a reliable mechanical connection that achieves full load transfer through cold plastic deformation of the sleeve, conveniently eliminating the need for bar end threading or special preparation.
It is widely applicable to on-site rebar splicing in high-rise buildings, bridge piers and girders, tunnel linings, subway structures, hydraulic and hydropower projects, nuclear power facilities, seismic-resistant frames, as well as reinforcement connection in congested areas and restricted working spaces, covering conventional rebar diameters within the range of φ16 mm to φ40 mm.
